Cass – Founder, Healing Arts Practitioner and Kundalini Yoga Teacher
Cass here..
In 2019, I founded Melt by exploring the question ‘there must be more to life than ‘this’’, I realised that to increase my happiness I needed to gain more energy and vitality. Throughout my life and through my creative work I continue to explore the integration of mind, body, and spirit and transforming pain and confusion in the human experience into awe and wonder for the great mystery.
I identify two major turning points in my journey that has led me to the work i do today.
I found myself in a healing crisis with severe abdominal and pelvic pain - trying to repair through push and effort, trial and investigation it took me down a path to study Traditional Balinese Bodywork. With a feminine, nurturing, devotional approach to the vessel the Women of Bali provided a space for my body to recalibrate and receive whilst simultaneously uncovering my flow, ease and passion for touch therapy and holding ceremonial spaces. I now devote much of my time weaving around and through the hearts, bodies and energy fields of woman who are navigating all forms of transition and ushering in body healing and soul transformation.
Through yearly life, I was raised on a farm in central west NSW, it taught me about the creative process and the cycles of life through planting seeds, patience, caring for animals and physical labour. Her appreciate for the salt of the earth, hard working, say it straight, humanitarian community driven people has influenced how I move through life today. Aiming to embody the mantra “Try to be a little better than you were yesterday."
The second turning point, In 2020, is when I started practicing and studying Kundalini Yoga. My first class taught by Guru Jagat, was completely mind altering. At the beginning of lock down in Melbourne, there was a level of fear and sadness arising, I quickly was able to shift my frequency in a matter of 1 class. This set the tone for the depth of investigating into the art, science and mechanisms of happiness through the tools and teachings Kundalini Yoga offers.
This practice activated my path to a more meaningful existence. I has found great purpose in sharing the wisdom and the woman’s teachings while honouring the traditional lineage of kundalini yoga, she finds fulfilment in curating classes that elevate, connect and remind us of our primordial beauty and intelligence. Deeply fascinated by the sophistication of our architectural human design, the journey has and always will be ‘in and through the body’.
I support woman from my current residency- Bronte Dispensary for one:one bodywork sessions. Weekly group in person classes are held in Bondi. She facilitates in person Kundalini Yoga experiences at retreat along with bodywork healing.
Through my virtual experiences, allows space for self-study, exploring the current themes and waves on a collective and individual level. Breathing deeply, moving intentionally, meditating purposefully and gathering together to grow, feel and shift.
